Too hot in summer too cold in winter. I need to paint or something onto the roof to stop the heat. I cant attach anything to the roof as its metal so cant screw anything to it.
Sun Room, studded Partition Over The Windows, Pvc On The Exterior. Losing Heat? What Can I Do? Tiled Roof?
Wednesday, February 24th, 2010You could try painting your tiles with a paint that will help to insulate the tiles but i reckon old mate’s right , you gotta get some batts in the ceiling AND walls . Just check which is going to be easier to remove the inside skin or the outside skin. If it’s fibro on the outside thats what i would do. It’s worth while getting a no obligation quote and seeing what the so called experts think they can do to help keep in the heat. I would also get a local handyman out of the paper and get his thoughts cos chances are he has come across similar problems before and he will probably be cheaper than what you think…
Is There Anything I Do About Mini Avalanches From Snow Collecting On My Sun Room Roof.?
Monday, February 22nd, 2010The patio room is connected to our house. The problem is, after a couple days or so, or warm temperatures, all of the snow falls like an avalanche off of the aluminum roof. the roof has a very light downward grade (slope). Not only is it loud (woke me up when it all came crashing down at 4AM) but it’s dangerous for our pets and us who frequently use the back yard. It’s kind of nice to have all of the snow off of your roof at once but it’s scary. Any suggestions, thanks.

Where Can I Get A Replacement Conservatory Roof With No Visible Support Beams?
Sunday, February 14th, 2010We currently have a low-pitched roof conservatory (about 10′ by 9′) and the roof seems to be a single sheet, without any visible support. On closer inspection, you can see that there are actually aluminium support strips running between the cells of the roof, but which appear almost invisible.
This now needs replacing, but we don’t want to have the ugly, visible support beams that we’ve seen on all the standard conservatories. Any idea where you can get a suitable replacement?

Has Anyone Used Solar Inserts On A Conservatory Roof And, If So, Were They Effective?
Saturday, February 13th, 2010I have read the promotional literature for some of these products and they sound excellent. However, I would rather hear from someone who has used them to get a realistic idea of their effectiveness.
They are supposed to reduce heat loss in the winter and cool the conservatory in the summer; do they really work?
