You said that this company is well known so hit them where it hurts. Call your local news station and ask to speak with their "Marvin Zindler". You know, the guy that goes out to businesses and reports on slime in the ice machines and how this couple spent their hard earned dollar building a sunroom for their children or grandchild to play in and now the poor little kids cant play b/c of the leaky room. I actually wrote a letter to our guy when the transmission we had put in dropped out 48 miles over the warranty! We paid $2500 for that transmission 12 months ago and 12048 miles later it's dead and gone. NO WAY! I even contacted the Better Business Bureau, who also sent them a letter stating that they had 30 days to either correct the problem, resolve the issue with the customer to the satisfaction of BOTH parties, or they could lose their standing with the BBB. My news guy faxed them a letter with my letter attached, telling them that they 'hoped that they wouldn't HAVE to pursue this any further...' and then the BBB overnighted a letter... I did get the transmission replaced, but I don't think I want to go back there or would I ever recommend Terry Bradshaw's Transmissions shop.

Hire an attorney - most of the time a letter from an attorney on your behalf will do the trick - if the repairs are as shoddy as the original workmanship you may have to file a lawsuit

1. Call the Better Business Bureau and complain.
2. Call your local housing inspector. They usually have to have permits when building, and the inspection is to help spot issues. If they didn't get the proper permits, then tell the city.
3. Get a home inspection of the sunroom and have them take photos and document EVERYTHING that is wrong. Also write down EVERY time you call this company and who you talk to.
4. File a claim in court against this company after you gather the appropriate documentation. Lawsuits are expensive and bad publicity for companies, often they will settle.
5. Call your local TV station and see if they have a Consumer helpline. They may contact the company and do a report on TV. In the face of the bad publicity, they may be willing to take care of you as they should.
I hope this helps you!

file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
Also get quote from someone in the trade as to what it will cost to make it right. Then send it (certified, return receipt) to your guy and tell him he has so much time to do the the work or you will finish the work and make him pay.
Are there any newspapers that let people "Write to know" where you can report it? Same for TV stations.
If all else fails, take him to small claims court. Check with Attorney General's Consumer Fraud Division, if they have one. Last resort, take your case to the street.

Your Governor has a "hotline" for people like this!
(I hate shoddy people who take advantage of people like that, really burns my keister!)...
Get on the net, and look up your Government Consumer Hotline Agency, (after you call the local Better Business Bureau and report them!)... And when you get the number of the Governors complaint office, call them and tell them what has been going on for the last few years... They would be VERY interested in this, and will investigate the Company for you. When the Company hears this, you can betcha your gonna get some action! (Everyone HATES Government interference!)...
