I’d Like To ‘activate’ My Cable Outlet In My Sun Room. How Do I Do This?

Sunday, February 28th, 2010

Not exactly sure what you mean, but if you have a cable run into a particular room, then you have to contact the company of whatever service you want run so that they can “activate” it. Whether its cable TV, internet or both.

In Uk, Have You Had A Conservatory Built? Do You Recommend It?

Sunday, February 28th, 2010

If exposed to afternoon sun, they become too hot on summer days, and are cold in winter. I had one, but replaced it with a brick-built extension; 20 years on, I am happy that I did.

Build Anglian Or Cr Smith Conservatory?

Sunday, February 28th, 2010

Has anyone ever had any good or bad experiences with Anglian or CR Smith when it comes to building a conservatory? We are considering both and have our own thoughts but would like opinions on the sales and service, finished product and after sales service, and guarantee.
Thanks in advance.

Do I Need Permit To Build A Sun Room In Little Rock Arkansas?

Sunday, February 28th, 2010

I live in Missouri and we only have to have permits for building an addition if we live within the city limits if we live outside the city limits we do what we want except for putting in a new septic system unless you have one that is grandfathered in..in which case the EPA has no control and neither do the plumbers that want to make you buy what you don’t need.
Just check to see the ordinances for city and county.
The link below will give you the Names, Phone numbers, which type of building ie; structural or plumbing etc and the email address.(click on the name in second paragraph listing in blue)

How Much Sun Light Should My Baby’s Room Get?

Saturday, February 27th, 2010

I am picking shades for my babys room. We are trying to decide on black out or not. I think it will be nice if the room got dark in the day so he can nap. But, my husband feels that the sun light is better for the baby. Anyone have any ideas?

Do I Need Planning Permission To Demolish My Conservatory?

Saturday, February 27th, 2010

I have applied for permitted development approval to build a brick sun lounge, in the place of an existing conservatory.
The new sun lounge meets all of the criteria set out in the act as a Class A permitted development, however the Local Authority are insisting that planning permission is sought.
Their basis for this is an interpretation that I am replacing / rebuilding an existing building and the application then falls outside of the permitted developmet regulations.
Can anyone advise me if this is correct?

When You Use A Flashlight In A Dark Room Or The Sun Is Shining Through A Window, What Are Those Tiny Fuzzies?

Saturday, February 27th, 2010

I figure they are minute dust particles, but why can’t they be seen with the naked eye? Seems like a bunch of dust to not be seen.

Do I Need Planning Permissino To Build A Conservatory On My Terrace House?

Saturday, February 27th, 2010

For a normal sized conservatory you do not need planning permission. It is wise, although not legally required, to seek some sort of precedence order from the town hall. The reason for this is when you sell the property any solicitor acting for the buyers will look into any added structures to the building and their legalities etc.
